SEAL FOR IDENTIFICATION OF PAPERS:

54-G. Said Judge of The Peoples Court shall impress upon
all papers in every cause before him to which his signature is
attached, a seal, which shall be circular in form, and on it shall
be inscribed the words "The Peoples Court, Salisbury, Md.,
1927''; said seal shall have no significance, other than for the
purposes of identification and shall not be considered in any way
as an act in law.

APPELLATE COURT:

54-H. The Circuit Court for Wicomico County is hereby
declared to be the Appellate Court for said Judge of The Peo-
ples Court, to which all persons feeling aggrieved at the judg-
ment of said Judge of The Peoples Court may appeal; all ap-
peals shall be tried de novo and the papers in each cause ap-
pealed, together with a transcript of the docket entries, shall be
certified to the Circuit Court.

SESSIONS OF COURT:

54-I. Said Judge of The Peoples Court shall sit, and said
Court shall be open for the conduct of 'business from 9: 00 A. M.
until 4: 00 P. -M. each day, Sundays, Legal Holidays excepted;
and said Judge of The Peoples Court may determine the time
for regular sittings for the hearing of criminal and police cases;
and he may sit at any time he may consider necessary for the
disposal of emergency cases.

Said Judge of The Peoples Court shall have the right to es-
tablish rules for the conduct of his proceedings, and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to punish by a fine not exceeding
Ten Dollars any person guilty of disorderly conduct in his pres-
ence when a cause is being heard; he shall have a right to punish,
any person summoned as a witness who shall refuse or fail to
appear by a fine not exceeding Twenty-five Dollars; and he
may issue an attachment for any person summoned as a witness
who fails to appear.

CLERK:

54-J. There shall be appointed by the said Judge for the term
of two years and each two years thereafter, a Clerk for said
The Peoples Court; said Clerk shall receive an annual salary of
Twelve Hundred Dollars, payable monthly by the County Com-
missioners of Wicomico County; said Clerk shall attend said
Judge of The Peoples Court and shall perform such, duties as
shall be assigned to him by said Judge; he is hereby empowered
to administer oaths in any manner before said Court, and, in
the name of the Judge of The Peoples Court and under the seal
