be flooded by the pool and hydro-electric development of said
Company; and for the conveyance and release, by the State
Roads Commission and the County Commissioners of said Coun-
ties, respectively, to the said The Susquehanna Power Company
of the present Conowingo Bridge and all land, approaches, etc.,
connected with or appurtenant thereto, and such parts of the
State and County roads etc., as may be flooded by said pool or
be necessary or useful for the development of said project, and
of all damages to the State and County highways, resulting from
overflow due to such pool; and whereas said bridge and high-
ways are now in course of being relocated in pursuance of said
agreement.

Now therefore be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land: That said agreement so made by the State Roads Commis-
sion, the Board of Public Works and the County Commission-
ers of Harford and Cecil Counties, with The Susquehanna Pow-
er Company, be, and the same is hereby approved and ratified,
and that the State Roads Commission and the County Commis-
sioners of said two Counties be, and they are hereby respectively;
authorized to execute such deeds and releases as may be neces1
sary or proper in order to fully carry out and effectuate the
terms and provisions of said agreement.

CHAPTER 317.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to employ an auditor or auditors
for the purpose of auditing any and all county officials
handling public funds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
direct an annual audit of the books and records of any official
or employee of Montgomery County whether elected or ap-
pointed whose duty or a part of whose duty it is to receive or
disburse public funds payable to or receivable by or on behalf
of Montgomery County, and for the purpose of conducting
such audit, the said County Commissioners are hereby author-
ized to appoint annually or from time to time for a shorter term,
such auditor or auditors as they may determine and to pay to
