458 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 258

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That no vehicles shall be permitted to stand longer
than actually necessary to take on and discharge passengers,
baggage, merchandise or freight on any street, road or highway
in Baltimore County having street car tracks thereon within
fifty feet of any corner where street cars take on or discharge
passengers; or at any point where such standing vehicles may
interfere with the free turning of any street car from one street,
road or highway into an intersecting street, road or highway or
with the free passage of any such street car along or across any
street, road, or highway, or within twenty feet of any street,
road, or highway intersection where there are no car tracks or
within twenty feet of any street, road or highway intersection
where there are no car stops, or opposite to any safety zone
which may have been provided by any public utility corpora-
tion, by the County Commissioners of Baltimore County or by
any rule or regulation of the Public Service Commission of
Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That no vehicle shall
stand within ten feet of any fire plug or fire hydrant in any
part of said County, unless such vehicle be in actual charge of a
person capable of running or operating the same.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That no vehicle shall
be permitted to stand longer than actually necessary to take on
or discharge passengers, baggage or merchandise or freight in
front of or opposite to any fire engine house or within ten feet
of either side of any such fire engine house.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That no vehicle shall be
permitted to stand longer than actually necessary to take on or
discharge passengers, baggage, freight or merchandise in front
of the entrance to any church, theatre, public dance or enter-
tainment hall, driveway, (public or private) or within fifteen
feet of any entrance to any hospital or in front of any theatre
or place of amusement or in front of any exits or fire escapes
from theatres when and where performances or amusements
are being held or when and where persons of large number are
assembled. Nor shall any vehicle be permitted to stand longer
than actually necessary to take on or discharge passengers, bag-
gage, merchandise or freight in front of any shipping or re-
ceiving entrance to business houses and other places where
"No Parking" spaces have been established by Orders of the
