Appeals of Maryland from Baltimore City and to refund
to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City a part of
the salaries paid by Baltimore City to the several Judges
of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 45 of Article 26 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Courts, " sub-title
"Salaries of Judges, " be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

45. The salary of each Chief Judge of the first seven
Judicial Circuits of Maryland and of the Judge of the Court
of Appeals from Baltimore City, shall be eleven thousand and
five hundred dollars per annum; the salary of each of the sev-
eral judges of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City shall be
six thousand eight hundred and seventy-five dollars per annum
and in addition to the salaries paid to the Judges of the
Supreme Bench of Baltimore City as herein provided there
shall be refunded annually to the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore City such sum, not in excess of one thousand six
hundred and twenty-five dollars as it, acting under the author-

ity conferred by Article 4, Section 31-A, of the Constitution
of Maryland may add to the salary paid to each Judge of the
Supreme Bench of Baltimore City as herein provided; the
salary of each Associate Judge of the first seven Judicial Cir-
cuits shall be eighty-five hundred dollars per annum; all the
salaries herein provided for shall be payable monthly.

CHAPTER 236.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 219
of Article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title "Licenses, " sub-title "Gasoline Tax, " said amend-
ment removing the exemption from all motor boats, except
those used for pleasure only.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 219 of Article 56 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Licenses, " sub-title
