on or after June 1, 1927; provided, however, that this Act shall
not apply to or affect any bill or bills of exceptions signed in
any case in which an appeal shall have been filed prior to
said June 1, 1927, any and all which said bill or bills of ex-
ceptions in the case of any such appeal entered prior to said
June 1, 1927, even if said bills are signed after June 1, 1927,
shall be prepared and signed in the same manner as would have
been proper or necessary if this Act had not been passed.

CHAPTER 225.

AN ACT to add a new and additional section to Article 16 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924), title "Chancery, "
sub-title "Divorce, " said new and additional section to fol-
low immediately after Section 37 of said Article 16 and to
be designated Section 37-A, the same relating to the jurisdic-
tion of Courts of Equity in all applications for divorce and
to repeal all other laws and sections and all other parts of

laws and sections so far as the same or any of the same may
conflict or be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new and additional section be and the same is
hereby added to Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1924), title "Chancery, " sub-title "Divorce, " said new and
additional section to come immediately after Section 37 of said
Article 16 and to be designated Section 37A, and to read as
follows:

SEC. 37A. All persons residing on property lying within
the physical boundaries of any county of this State or within
the boundaries of the City of Baltimore but on property over
which jurisdiction is exercised by the Government of the United
States by virtue of the 17th Clause, 8th Section of the First Ar-
ticle of the Constitution of the United States, and Sections 31
and 32 of Article 96 of the Annotated Code of Public Laws of
Maryland (legalized by Chapter 219 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1924), shall be considered as residents of the State
of Maryland and of the County or of the City of Baltimore, as
the case may be, in which the land is situate for the purpose of
jurisdiction in the Courts of Equity of this State in all appli-
cations for divorce.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from, and after June 1, 1927.
