manner, shall pay out and disburse the money in its hands
known as the "Hurlock. School Fund, " for the purposes here-
in set forth, and all said contracts made by the "Hurlock
School Committee'' aforesaid, under authority of this Act, shall
be binding on the Board of Education of. Dorchester County
to the extent of the said "Hurlock School Fund. "

CHAPTER 222.
AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent County, " sub-
title "Licenses, " said new sections to be known as Sections
222, 223 and 224 and to follow immediately after Section
221 of said Article, requiring licenses for soliciting, taking
or receiving orders for purchase or delivery of goods, wares
and merchandise under certain conditions in Kent County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be and are hereby added to Ar-
ticle 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland title
"Kent County, " sub title "Licenses, " said new sections to be
known as Sections 222, 223 and 224, to follow immediately af-
ter Section 221 of said Article, and to read as follows:
222. It shall not be lawful for any person, house, corporation,
company or association to solicit, take or receive at any place
within the limits of Kent County any order or orders for the
purchase or delivery of any goods, wares or merchandise, with
the intent to fill or complete said order or orders by delivery of
such goods, wares or merchandise, either personally or by means
of any conveyance belonging to the persons, house, corporation,
company or association for whose account said order or orders
may have been taken, unless such person, house, corporation,
company or association shall first have taken out a license for
that purpose, which said license shall be issued by the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Kent County, upon the payment of the
sum of $150. 00 for said license and a fee to said Clerk of $1. 00
for issuing the same, and which said license shall not be trans-
ferable; provided, that this section shall not apply to any per-
son, house, corporation, company or association that conducts a
retail or wholesale business in said county under appropriate
license.
