nation or otherwise, in connection with the State's system of
roads and highways, is not necessary or desirable in the main-
tenance of said system of roads and highways, or whenever,
by reason of the re-location of any road or bridge by the
State Roads Commission, any land or bridge ceases to be
used in the State's system of roads and highways, the State
Roads Commission, with the consent and approval of the Board
of Public Works, shall be vested with full power and au-
thority to dispose of such land or bridge. Deeds for the
transfer of any property disposed of under this section shall be
executed by the Chairman of the State Roads Commission and
the Board of Public Works. In the event of a sale of such
property, the proceeds shall be accounted for and remitted
by the State Roads Commission to the State Treasurer, who
shall create a special fund thereof, to be used for the con-
struction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair of the State's
system of roads and highways, in accordance with the appropri-
ations thereof made by the General Assembly.
SEC. 2 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1927.

CHAPTER 206.
AN ACT prohibiting the use of beam trawl, trammel net, troll
net or any similar device in any waters within the limits of
the State of Maryland, and providing penalties for the vio-
lation thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section is hereby added to Article 39 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland prohibiting the use
of any beam trawl, trammel net, troll net or any similar
device in any waters within the limits of the State of Mary-
land, said new section to read as follows:
SEC. 1. The use of any beam trawl, trammel net, troll net
or any similar device is absolutely prohibited in any waters
within the limits of the State of Maryland. Any person, firm
or corporation violating the provisions of this Section shall
on conviction thereof before any Justice of the Peace of any
County of this State most accessible, forfeit said net or nets,
or device, together with all boats, vessels and tackle used in
