and allow or disallow said bills and as to those allowed, shall
forthwith pay to the claimants the pro rata of any amount in
the hands of the said Board which may be due the contractor
for said School and shall immediately thereafter certify to the
County Commissioners for said County the balance due for
each of said claims, the total of which is to be levied for as
herein directed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 171.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Education of Prince
George's County and the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County to issue serial bonds of said county to the
amount of not more than Two Hundred Severity-five Thou-
sand Dollars ($275, 000. 00), for the purpose of acquiring
sites for certain new school houses and for building certain
new school houses in said county, and for building additions
to or making alterations to existing school houses therein,
and for equipping such new or improved school houses, said
bonds to be issued from time to time in the joint discretion
of said Boards; and to authorize and direct the County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County to levy such tax on the
assessable basis of said county as may be necessary to pay
the interest on such of said bonds as may be outstanding
from time to time, and to redeem said bonds as they become
due and payable.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That whenever the Board of Education of Prince
George's County shall think it advisable to build and equip any
or all of the school houses or the additions to the school houses
or to purchase sites for school buildings at the hereinafter
named locations, they may by resolution request the County
Commissioners of said county to issue bonds of said county to
pay for the same, and if the County Commissioners of said
county concur in the advisability of issuing such bonds for the
purposes indicated in such resolution, they may by their reso-
lution order that the same shall be issued as hereinafter pro-
