public parking place, within the corporate limits of the city,
for the parking of motor vehicles, (3)' for the purpose of pro-
viding payment for the construction of a swimming pool and
bath house in the public park, in said city, and making
such permanent improvements to said park as it may deem
desirable, (4) for the purpose of providing payment for the
construction of bridges over Carroll Creek, in said City, (5)
for the purpose of paving and sewering any of the streets,
lanes or alleys of the city, (6) for the purpose of purchasing
an aerial fire-ladder truck and providing a suitable place for
housing the same, in said city, (7) for the purpose of provid-
ing payment for the purchase of land along the water shed
of Fishing Creek, from which Frederick City receives its
water supply, in Frederick County, Maryland, and (S) for
such other permanent municipal improvements as in its judg-
ment shall be necessary or desirable, and providing for the
payment of the interest on said bonds and for the payment of
the principal thereof, and providing generally for the time,
terms, and manner of said bond issue or issues authorized in
pursuance herewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted and ordained by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick be
and it is hereby authorized to borrow upon the faith and credit of
said municipal corporation a sum of money not exceeding in
the aggregate One Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand Dol-
lars ($175, 000. 00) and to issue and sell serial coupon bonds
therefor of the par value of One Hundred and Seventy-Five
Thousand Dollars and to expend the proceeds arising there-
from for all or any of the following purposes to-wit: (1) for
the purpose of providing payment for the laying out, extend-
ing, widening and straightening in whole or in part, of any of
the streets, lanes or alleys, within the corporate limits of Fred-
erick, (2) for the purpose of acquiring, constructing and main-
taining a public parking place, within the corporate limits of
the city, for the parking of motor vehicles, (3) for the purpose
of providing payment for the construction of a swimming pool
and bath house in the public park, in said city, and making
such permanent improvements to said park as it may deem
desirable, (4) for the purpose of providing payment for the con-
struction of bridges over Carroll Creek, in said City, (5) for the
purpose of paving and sewering any of the streets, lanes or alleys
of the city, (6) for the purpose of purchasing an aerial fire lad-
