SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
of laws of the State of Maryland, general or local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act, be and the same are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

CHAPTER 147.

AN ACT to incorporate the Trustees of the Cemetery of the
Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church, in Frederick County,
Maryland.

WHEREAS, certain of the members of Emmitsburg Presbyte-
rian Church, in Frederick County, Maryland, and certain other
persons desire to provide for the permanent maintenance and
care of the burying ground or cemetery at present owned by
the Trustees of the Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church in Fred-
erick County, Maryland, a body corporate, and further desire
to provide for the enlargement and improvement from time to
time by purchase, gift, devise, condemnation, or any other
lawful way, of the said burying ground or cemetery, and whereas
the said persons have applied to the General Assembly for an
Act of Incorporation accordingly, and the said Trustees of the
Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church in Frederick County, Mary-
land, a body corporate, are willing1 in the event that the General
Assembly grant the Act of Incorporation as applied for, to
convey to the corporation so incorporated all that lot or parcel
of ground owned by the said Trustees of the Emmitsburg1 Pres-
byterian Church, in Frederick County, Maryland, and which
is at present used for the purposes of a cemetery or burying
ground, and it seems fit to the General Assembly to aid in the
objects of said persons and the object of said incorporation can
not be obtained by general laws, therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That I. M. Annan, J. N. Franklin, W. O. Shank, Lewis
Bell, T. C. Hays, B. D. Martin, A. A. Martin and their succes-
sors as hereinafter provided be and are hereby incorporated
and made a body politic and corporate, by the name of the
Trustees of the Cemetery of the Emmitsburg1 Presbyterian
Church in Frederick County, Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the said corporation shall
have succession by its corporate name forever with perpetual
continuance of the powers herein granted subject, however, and
