upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General As-
sembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 11.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1 of
Chapter 7 of the Acts of 1924 of the General Assembly of
Maryland, extending the time during which the promissory
notes of the town of Centreville for the Electric Plant equip-
ment may be renewed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Chapter 7 of the Acts of 1924 of the
General Assembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

1. The said Municipal Corporation, The Town Commission-
ers of Centreville, be and it is hereby authorized and empowered
to borrow, upon the faith and credit of the said municipal cor-
poration, the sum of nineteen thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, for the purpose of paying for a
turbine engine, dynamo, switch board and exciter, and installing
the same in the Electric Plant of said Municipal Corporation
and making other necessary repairs and improvements; and to
execute the promissory notes of said municipal corporation, the
Town Commissioners of Centreville, for the amount so borrowed.
Said notes shall be drawn in such amounts as the said Municipal
Corporation shall in the discretion determine, but the total
amount of said promissory notes shall not exceed the aforesaid
sum of nineteen thousand dollars, and the said municipal cor-
poration, the Town Commissioners of Centreville, is hereby
authorized and empowered, for and during a period not exceed-
ing six years from and after the first day of January
1924, to renew the said promissory notes as they mature from
time to time, in whole or in part, until all of said promissory
notes and interest to accrue thereon have been fully paid, but
no renewal note shall be drawn so as to fall due after the first
day of January 1930 and no renewal note shall be given
by said municipal corporation after the first day of January
1930.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.
