CERTIFICATE
STATE OF MARYLAND
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, E. BROOKE LEE, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Chapter
441 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1922,
Do HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General election held in this
State on Tuesday, November 4th, 1924, an Act, known as
Chapter 74 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1924, was
submitted to the voters of Washington County for their adop-
tion or rejection, under the provisions of Article 16 of the
Constitution of the State, said Act being:
An Act to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Washington County to issue bonds on the credit of
said County to the extent of Three Hundred and Fifty
Thousand ($350,000) Dollars, the proceeds thereof to-
be used for the purpose of public road improvements
in said County, and to provide for levying taxes to
pay the interest on said bonds and the bonds as they
mature.
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 5,041 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 74 of the Acts of
1924, and 7,275 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act, in Washington County; and a majority being against the
adoption thereof, it was thereby rejected and repealed by the
voters.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed hereto my Offi-
cial Seal, at the City of Annapolis, this 22nd
day of November, 1924.
