of Fire Department," and all qualified voters desiring to vote
against the provisions of this Act shall put a cross mark (X)
opposite the words "Against Pumper and .setting aside an
additional five cents on the hundred dollars for maintenance
and operation of. Fire Department." If at such election a
greater number of persons shall vote "For Pumper and set-
ting aside an additional five cents on the hundred dollars for
maintenance and operation of Fire Department" than shall
vote "Against Pumper and setting aside an additional five
cents on the hundred dollars for maintenance and operation
of Fire Department," then the provisions of the foregoing
sections shall become operative and in full force and effect.
SEC. 5. This Act is hereby declared to be an emergency
law and necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety, and being passed upon a yea and nay vote
supported by three-fifths of all members elected to each of
the Two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 695.
AN ACT to add an additional section to the Public Local
Code of "Prince George's County," Maryland, sub-title
"Circuit Court," to be known as Section 136-A and to fol-
low Section 136.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to the Public Local Code of Prince George's County
of Maryland, sub-title "Circuit Court," said new section to
be known as Section 136-A and to follow Section 136 and to
read as follows:
Section 136-A. Any action taken or passed in any civil
case by the Circuit Court for Prince George's County in re-
lation to any judgment rendered by it, if taken or passed
within forty days after the entry of such judgment, or upon
a motion or application made to it within said forty days,
shall have the same effect and force as it would have had
under the practice heretofore existing in said court if taken
