SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, that all laws or parts of
laws of the State of Maryland, general or local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this act. be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

CHAPTER 675.

AN ACT to amend Section 139B of Article 7 of the Code of

Public Local Laws, title "Carroll County," sub-title "Sheriff,"

as the same was amended by Chapter 363 of the Acts of 1906.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 139B of Article 7 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, Title "Carroll County", Sub-Title "Sheriff", as the
same was amended by Chapter 363 of the Acts of 1906,, be and
the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:

SEC. 139B. It shall be the duty of the B<5ard of County Com-
missioners of Carroll County to furnish all supplies and provi-
sions necessary in their judgment for the support and mainte-
nance of all persons committed to the jail of said county, and all
fuel and light needed for said jail, and to allow the sheriff the
sum of three hundred dollars for traveling expenses; and
further to pay the salary of four hundred and eighty dollars in
twelve equal monthly instalments, of the chief deputy sheriff.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 676.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 245 of the Acts of 1922, entitled
"An Act to create certain sanitary Districts within Anne
Arundel County, Maryland," etc., as amended by Chapter
168 of the Acts of 1924, and to repeal also said Chapter
168 of the Acts of 1924, and to re-enact both of said Acts
with amendments so as to create and provide for the crea-
tion of certain Sanitary Districts within Anne Arundel
