rents and charges, as shall be necessary to pay the principal
and interest of any such indebtedness, which water rates or
rents shall be a; tax assessed, levied and collected as hereinbe-
fore set forth, and said Commissioners are hereby vested with
power and authority at all times, to make such rates or rents
for water supply within the corporate limits aforesaid, as shall
be necessary to support, maintain, repair or extend the said
municipal water works, and the said Commissioners are hereby
vested with full power and authority to pass any ordinance or
ordinances as shall be necessary to protect the said water works
and all its appurtenances, whether on private property or on
the municipal property, within the said corporate limits, and
they shall have the power at all times for the purpose of in-
spection, making connections or removing the same, or for any
reasonable purpose for the good of the water service, to enter
any private property, at any reasonable time.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after June 1st, 1927.

CHAPTER 111.

AN ACT to enable the Commissioners of Thurmont in Fred-
erick County, Maryland, to borrow a sum of money not
exceeding five thousand dollars in any one year for the
use of said corporation and to issue its promissory note or
notes therefor and to lew and collect taxes on the assess-

able property in said town for the redemption and pay-
ment of said notes and the interest thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Commissioners of Thurmont be and they
are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow upon the
faith and credit of the corporation of Thurmont such sum or
sums of money at a rate of interest not exceeding six per cent,
per annum as it shall think proper for municipal purposes with
full power to issue the promissory note or notes, obligation
or obligations of the Commissioners of Thurmont for the
amount authorized to be borrowed by this Act or any part
thereof; provided that not more than five thousand dollars
