the number and description of the bonds so called for payment
shall be given by publication in some newspaper of general
circulation published in Allegany County, State of Maryland.
Any balance remaining in the sinking fund hereby directed
to be created after the yearly calling and redemption of bonds
shall be invested in the purchase of any of the uncallable bonds
hereby authorized to be issued, provided the same are obtain-
able at prices satisfactory to The Mayor and Commissioners
of Westernport and if not obtainable at such satisfactory
prices then said sinking fund may at their option be invested
in bonds of the United States or of the State of Maryland

or of any other State of the United States or of any County of
the State of Maryland or in bonds or stocks of any incorpo-
rated City in the State of Maryland; such investments to be
held and used for the purchase from time to time of the
bonds hereby authorized to be issued or to pay off the same
at maturity. No portion of the said sinking fund so set up
as applicable to the redemption of these bonds shall be diverted
to any other purpose except the purchase and liquidation of
said bonds as herein set forth.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted. That this Act is an emergency
law and necessary for the immediate preservation of public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 104.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
230-C, 230-D, 230-E and 230-F of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Roads, " as said sections 230-C, 230-E, and
230-F were amended by Chapter 535 of 1924 and Section
230-D by Chapter 35 of 1910, relating to the qualifications,
powers and duties of the County Road Engineer of Queen
Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 230C, 230D, 230E and 230F of Article 18 of
