the repayment to the Board of County Commissioners of
Carroll County of the sum of Nine Hundred and Ninety-nine
Dollars, as provided in Section 1 hereof;

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Carroll County be and they are hereby author-
ized and required to levy upon the assessable property of said
county in the usual manner as provided by law, a sum suffi-
cient to pay any deficit, if any, in the cost of said indexing,
which may be found to exist after the application of the excess
fees of the office of the said Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Carroll County for the seven fiscal years, ending September
30th, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, and 1933, respect-
ively, after the payment of all the office expenses and salaries
as aforesaid.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1927.

CHAPTER 648.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 446
of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Edition
of 1924, title "Corporations," sub-title "Co-operative Asso-
ciations," to supply certain omissions in said section as en-
acted by Chapter 197 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1922.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 446 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, Edition of 1924, title '' Corporations,'' sub-title '' Co-
operative Associations," be, and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:

446. a. No person, partnership, corporation or association
hereafter organized in this State shall be entitled to use the
term, "co-operative" as a part of its corporate or other busi-
ness name or title unless it has complied with the provisions of
