1278 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 637

tide 39 of the Annotated Code of the Public General Laws of
Maryland, titled '' Fish and Fisheries; " said new sub-title to be
"Susquehanna, " and said new Sections to be known as Section
67-A and Section 67-B, and to read as follows:

SEC. 67-A. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or
catch fish of any description, except with hook and line, in that
portion of the Susquehanna River bounded on the upper side
by the new dam now being erected across said River, at a point
a short distance above Share's Landing, and bounded on the
lower side by what is known as Hogback Shoals, which shoals
extend from McGibney's Lock on the old Tidewater Canal on
the Harford side, to a point about one mile above Canal Sta-
tion on the Columbia branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad, on
the Cecil side of said River; provided that nothing in this Act
shall prohibit the Department of Fisheries of the Federal Gov-
ernment or the Conservation Department of Maryland from
taking fish from said prohibited area, in any manner said de-
partments may see fit, for the purpose of propagation. Provided,
however, that the provisions of this section shall not become
effective until the completion of the aforementioned dam.

SEC. 67-B. Any person or persons violating the provisions
of Section 67-A shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction, thereof before a Justice of the Peace, either in Har-
ford or Cecil Counties, shall be fined not less than Fifty Dol-
lars, ($50) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars, ($500) and
shall be committed to jail until such fine, together with the
costs of prosecution, have been fully paid, and in addition there-
to, all nets, boats or other paraphernalia used in connection
with the violation of the provisions of Section 67-A shall be
forfeited to the Conservation Department of Maryland, and the
receipts derived from the sale of such property, together with
the amount of the fine, shall go to the said Conservation De-
partment, to be credited to the Conservation Fund.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the First day of June, 1927.

CHAPTER 637.

AN ACT concerning aeronautics and to make uniform the law
with reference thereto, and to add an additional article to the
Code of Public General Laws to follow Article 1 of Bagby's
Annotated Code of 1924 and to be known as Article 1-A,
title "Aeronautics. "
