CHAPTER 628.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Charles
County to use certain receipts from dog licenses toward pay-
ment of salary of County Demonstrator of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Charles County
be and they are hereby authorized to use any surplus accruing
from the dog licenses in said county after paying damages for
any losses to the owners of poultry, sheep or other domestic
animals, in accordance with the provisions of the law impos-
ing said licenses in providing additional compensation for the
County. Demonstrator of said county, said payments not to
exceed seven hundred and fifty ($750) dollars for the first
year after the passage of this Act or five hundred ($500) dol-
lars for any subsequent year; provided, however, that no pay-
ments shall be made for said purpose until after the payments
for certain schools have been made as provided for by law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 629.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149 and
150 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick County,
Maryland, title "Frederick County, " sub-title "Roads, " as
enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, at its Jan-
uary Session of Eighteen hundred and ninety-two, Chapter
426, and to re-enact Sections 144, 145, 146, 147 of said
Code of Public Local Laws, so as to read as follows:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections. 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Frederick County, Maryland, pertain-
ing to public roads in said County, as codified by George R.
Dennis, Jr., Esq., be and the same are hereby repealed and that
new sections be added to the Code of Public Local Laws for
Frederick County, said sections to be titled "Public Roads"
and to read as follows:
