CHAPTER 595.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 337
of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title aCecil County, " sub-title "State's Attorney, " as said
section was amended by Chapter 105 of the Acts of 1892,
increasing the salary of the State's Attorney.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 337 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County", sub-title "State's
Attorney", as said section was amended by Chapter 105 of the
Acts of 1892, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, to read as follows:

337. The State's Attorney of Cecil County shall receive an
annual salary of two thousand dollars to be paid to him by the
county commissioners of said county in monthly instalments,
the same to be levied by the county commissioners for the use
of the State's Attorney as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 596.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Prince George's County to borrow $40, 000 on the credit
of said County for the purpose of building and equipping a
jail, and to issue bonds therefor, and to levy additional taxes,
to pay the interest on said bonds and to provide a sinking;
fund to pay the principal of said bonds at maturity.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Prince George's;
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
borrow the sum of forty thousand ($40, 000) dollars on the
credit of said County, and to issue and sell bonds therefor,
said bonds to be dated October 1, 1927, and to mature October
1, 1947, and to bear interest at such rate, not to exceed five
per cent, per annum, as said County Commissioners may deter-
mine. The said bonds shall be signed on behalf of said County
