be filed in the principal office of the corporation and be open
to the inspection of any stockholder, daily during business
hours.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall be taken or construed as affecting the existence of
any corporation existing on June 1, 1927, or as impairing
the validity of any corporate act done or performed in con-
formity with the pre-existing law; and nothing in this Act
shall release any corporation from the payment of any tax
or the performance of any obligation to the State or to any
county or city therein due or existing on June 1, 1927, or
affect or change the remedy for the collection or enforcement
of the same; and nothing in this Act shall release, affect or
impair the rights of any creditor of any corporation, or the
obligations or liability of any corporation or of any stock-
holder, director or officer of. any corporation, existing on
June 1, 1927, or affect or change the remedy for the collec-
tion or enforcement of the same.

CHAPTER 582.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 51
and 55 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland of 1924, title "Corporations, " being
part of the Uniform Stock Transfer Act, for the purpose of
correcting errors therein and making the law of this State
uniform with the law of other States enacting said Act.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 192-197, both inclusive, of Article
81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Edition of 1924,
title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Tax on Gross Receipts
of Certain Corporations. "
