such failure to comply with the laws relating to religious cor-
porations, the said "The Trustees of Washington Chapel, " at all
times, believing themselves to be a duly incorporated body,
have functioned as a corporation since the 26th day of May,
1906, and have performed all of the duties and requisites of a
duly incorporated body; that there has been an unbroken line
of trustees since the date of such intended corporation, who
have kept minutes of their proceedings, as required by law,
and have acquired and conveyed from time to time certain
real estate owned and sold by said body as a corporation; now,
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Charter or Certificate of Incorporation of the
said " The Trustees of Washington Chapel, '' as aforesaid, duly
recorded among the Corporation Records of Dorchester County,
"State of Maryland in Liber J. F. D. No. 3, folio 2, be, and the
same is hereby confirmed and rendered valid and legal for all
intents and purposes; and all conveyances of real estate here-
tofore made to, or by the said "The Trustees of Washington
Chapel, " as aforesaid, are hereby duly confirmed and ratified.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 581.
AN ACT to alter and amend the corporation laws.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 10, 15, 19, 21, 23 and 27 of Article
23 of the Annotated Code be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read respectively as
follows:

10. The business and property of every corporation sub-
ject to the provisions of this article shall be conducted and
managed by a board of not less than three directors, man-
agers or trustees. Until the first annual meeting and until
their successors are duly chosen and qualified, the board shall
consist of the persons named as such in the charter—subject,
however, to the right of increase, decrease and removal granted
