age pension system shall annually appropriate a sum of money
sufficient to carry out the provisions of this Article. Upon the
orders of the judge of the Circuit Court (or of the Superior
Court of Baltimore City), the county treasurer (or the City
Comptroller) shall pay out the amounts ordered to be paid as
pensions, under the provisions of this Article.
19. Within thirty days after the close of each calendar
year, the Clerk of the Circuit Court for each county and the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore City shall make a
report for the preceding year, to the Board of State-Aid and
Charities stating:
(a) The amount paid for pensions;
(b) The total number of applications for pensions;
(c) The number granted, the number denied, the number
cancelled during that year, and such other information as the
Board may deem advisable.
20. The Board of State Aid and Charities shall from time
to time prescribe and promulgate rules and regulations to effi-
ciently carry out the provisions of this Article, and shall pub-
lish such information as it may deem advisable to acquaint aged
persons and the public generally with the old age pension plan
of this State.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 539.
AN ACT to add a new section to be known as Section 12-A to
Article 50 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Joint Obligations and Joint Tenancy, " sub-
title "Joint Obligations, " said new Section to follow imme-
diately after Section 12 of said Article.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby added
to Article 50 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Joint Obligations and Joint Tenancy, " sub-title "Joint
