borrowed and said bonds issued, and at such special election,
the ballots cast shall have the words "For Street Bonds" and!
"Against Street Bonds" thereon, and if a majority of the
votes cast upon the question shall be "For Street Bonds, "
then the Commissioners of Betterton, or a majority of them,
shall. proceed to execute the powers vested in them by this
Act, but if the majority of the votes cast shall be "Against
Street Bonds, " then they shall not execute such powers, and1
this Act shall be of no effect.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 530.
AN ACT to extend the limits of the town of Betterton by-
including the lands formerly belonging to the Betterton
Bayside Land Company of Kent County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the corporate limits of the town of Betterton
shall be extended so as to include, in addition to the boundaries
established by Section 2 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January session of 1908, all of
that part of the lands formerly belonging to the Betterton
Bayside Land Company of Kent County, and particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the mean high water line of
Sassafras River, which point marks the North end of the
division line between Stoneton, the property of Miss Nancy
M. Price, and that of the Betterton Bayside Land Company,
thence running the following courses and distances:
(1) South 2 deg. 18 min. west 580 feet to a point on
aforesaid division line, thence by a line parallel with and
distant southwardly 125 feet from the South side of First
