9. In all jurisdictions where provision has been or shall
be made for the obtention of speedy judgments, whenever a
defendant files a demurrer to a declaration filed under such
Speedy Judgment Act, said demurrer shall not be received un-
less the defendant shall state the specific grounds for the de-
murrer, and unless the defendant or some one in his behalf
shall, under oath or affirmation, state that the said demurrer is
not filed for the purpose of delay, and that he is advised by
counsel to file said demurrer, and such demurrer shall be ac-
companied by a certificate of counsel that he so advised the
party filing said demurrer.

CHAPTER 526.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to appoint two capable and dis-
creet persons in each of the Election Districts of said County
to assess real, personal and mixed property in said County;
their compensation for performing their services shall be
Eight Dollars ($8. 00) per day, which is to be paid by the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County are hereby authorized and empowered to appoint two
capable and discreet persons in each of the Election Districts
of said County to assess real, personal and mixed property
in said County; their compensation for performing their serv-
ices shall be Eight Dollars ($8. 00) per day, which is to be
paid by the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be, and
the same are, hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1927.
