SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws, inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby repealed
in so far as the same are inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act, but no further.

CHAPTER 518.
AN ACT to create the Prince George's County Police by
constituting and directing the sheriff of Prince George's
County to be the Chief of the Prince George's County
Police, and constituting and directing the deputy sheriff to
be the Lieutenant of the Prince George's County Police,
and to authorize, empower, and direct the County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County upon the recommenda-
tion of the sheriff for appointment, to appoint three or more,
not exceeding six, Constables at Large, on the first Monday
in April, 1927, for a term of two years from the date of their
appointment, who, together with the sheriff and deputy
sheriff shall constitute the Prince George's County Police,
and to provide rules and regulations governing the duties
and responsibilities of the Prince George's County Police
and the Constables at Large, and providing for their com-
pensation and expense of equipment.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That, in Prince George's County there shall be a
police force, which by virtue of this Act shall consist of the
sheriff of Prince George's County, the deputy sheriff of Prince
George's County, and three or more, not exceeding six, Con-
stables at Large, who, together with the sheriff and deputy
sheriff shall constitute and are hereby declared to be the Prince
George's County Police.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That, the sheriff of
Prince George's County shall be the Chief of the Prince
George's County Police, and the deputy sheriff shall be the
Lieutenant of the Prince George's County Police, and neither
shall receive any other compensation than that prescribed by
the present local law for the sheriff and his deputy in Prince
George's County.
