"Health and Sanitation", so as to provide that no sewerage
system shall be established by the County under the pro-
visions of the Act of 1912, Chapter 157, unless it be located
beyond the limits of the Metropolitan District of Baltimore
County, and also providing that the construction of any such
system shall be under the supervision of the Chief Sanitary
Engineer of the Metropolitan District.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 279 of Offutt's Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore County of the Edition of 1916, title "Baltimore
County", sub-title "Health and Sanitation" be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:
SEC. 279. No sewerage system shall be established by the
county under the provisions of the Act of 1912, Chapter 157,
unless it be located beyond the limits of the Metropolitan Dis-
trict of Baltimore County. Such system, if established, shall be in
accordance with plans approved by the State Board of Health
or some properly qualified representative designated by it. The
work required in the construction of all such systems shall be
let by contract to the lowest responsible bidder after proposals
duly advertised, and such work shall be done under the super-
vision and subject to the approval of the Chief Sanitary Engi-
neer of the Metropolitan District of Baltimore County. No
payment on account of such work shall be made without the
approval of said Engineer.

CHAPTER 323.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 1 and
2 of Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1910, entitled ''An Act to au-
thorize and empower the Judges of the Circuit Court for
Howard County to appoint a court stenographer, " relating
to the compensation of the court stenographer for Howard
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 1 and 2 of Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1910,
entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the Judges of the
Circuit Court for Howard County to appoint a court stenogra-
