SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the additional five
thousand dollars ($5, 000. 00) herein provided for for the school
at Crumpton shall not be paid over to the Board of Education
of Queen Anne's County until the new school house at Crump-
ton shall actually be contracted to be built.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the twenty-five hun-
dred dollars ($2, 500. 00) to build an additional room to the
Grammar School at Sudlersville shall be turned over to the
Board of Education of Queen Anne's County immediately up-
on the borrowing of said money and any money remaining
over from the building of said new school at Crumpton or
from the building of said additional room to the Grammar
School at Sudlersville shall be returned to the County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's County to be used in the payment
of the aforesaid notes.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the said County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to levy upon the assessable property
of said County in the levies to be made in the years 1924, 1925,
1926, 1927 and 1928 a sufficient sum of money to pay the note
or notes so issued and the interest thereon, same to be collected
as other taxes are now collected in said County.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 309.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Laurel to borrow Twenty Thousand Dollars and issue
its bonds therefor for the purpose of building a City Hall
or municipal building in the town of Laurel, and providing
for a special levy for paying the interest thereon and cre-
ating a sinking fund.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Laurel be, and they
are hereby, authorized and empowered to borrow on the credit
of the said town of Laurel and issue its coupon bonds therefor
the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary, for the purpose of building a City Hall or
municipal building in the said town of Laurel.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said bonds shall be is-
sued in denominations of Five Hundred Dollars and for a term
