CHAPTER 302.
AN ACT to repeal, in so far as it applies to Carroll County. Sec-
tion 34 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title ''Collectors and Col-
lections, " as said section was amended by Chapter 257 of
the Acts of 1922, and to add a new section to Article 7 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Carroll Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " said new section to be
known as Section 134-A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 134 of said Article, providing that the Collector of State
and County Taxes in Carroll County shall give bond and
prescribing the penalty to be fixed in said bond.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary
land, That Section 34 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Collectors and
Collections, '' as said section was amended by Chapter 257 of the
Acts of 1922, be and the same is hereby repealed in so far as it
applies to Carroll County, and that a new section be and it is
hereby added to Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Carroll County, " sub-title "Revenue and
Taxes, " said new section to be known as Section 134-A, to follow
immediately after Section 134 of said Article, and to read as
follows:
134-A. The person appointed by the County Commissioners
of Carroll County as Collector of Taxes, as provided by law. be-
fore he proceeds to act as Collector of Taxes in each year, shall
bond to the State of Maryland in the penalty of Fifty Thousand
Dollars, with good and sufficient sureties, to be approved by the
County Commissioners of said County, with the condition that if
the above bound............................................................... shall
well and faithfully execute his office and shall account for and
pay to the said County Commissioners, or their order, the several
sums of money which he shall receive for said County, or be
answerable for by law, at such times as the law shall direct, then
this obligation to be void, otherwise to be and remain in full
force and virtue; and the said Collector of Taxes, before he shall
proceed to act as Collector of State Taxes for said County, in
each year shall give a separate bond to the State of Maryland in
a penalty double the amount of the taxes to be collected by him.

Governor of said State, with the condition that if the above-
