of said. County any money received by renting or sub-letting
the jail or any part of same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Queen
Anne's County, " sub-title "Sheriff, " said new section to be
known as Section 231-AA, to follow immediately after Section
231-A of said Article, and to read as follows:
231-AA. The Sheriff of Queen Anne's County shall turn
over to the County Commissioners of said county any and all
sums of moneys, emoluments or rewards received by him as
rent or lease for the use of any part of the jail of Queen Anne's
County, located in Centreville, Maryland; said sums of money
to go into the General Funds of Queen Anne's County, and in
case of the failure of any Sheriff to pay over any such sums
then and in that case the County Commissioners shall 'deduct
such sums from the salary provided to be paid to the said
Sheriff.
SEC. 2 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 48.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
413A and Section 447 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled corporations,
sub-title, Public Service Commission, as respectively enacted
by Chapter 445 of the Acts of 1914, and Chapter 180 of the
Acts of 1910.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 413 A and Section 447 of Article 23 of
the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, en-
titled Corporations, sub-titled Public Service Commission, as
respectively enacted by Chapter 445 of the Acts of 1914, and
Chapter 180 of the Acts of 1910, be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read, re-
spectively, as follows:
413A. The term common carrier, when used in this sub-
title, shall likewise include all automobile transportation com-
