net fishing as heretofore permitted, by license or otherwise,
under the laws of the State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1924.

CHAPTER 290.

AN ACT to add a new and additional section to Article 81 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Revenue
and Taxes", sub-title "State Tax Commission", said new
and additional section to come in immediately after Section
234 of said Article 81 and to be designated as Section 234-A,
said Section relating to the duties of secretary to said Com-
mission and the administration of oaths by persons desig-
nated by said Commission.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That one new and additional section be and the same is
hereby added to Article 81 of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State Tax
Commission", said new and additional section to come in imme-
diately after Section 234 of said Article and to be designated as
Section 234-A.

234-A. The Secretary of said Commission shall have power
and authority to administer oaths in all parts whatsoever of the
State so far as the exercise of such power is incidental to the
performance of his duties or the duties of the Commission, and
the Commission shall designate from time to time, in a properly
recorded minute of its proceedings, one of its clerks to perform,
during the time designated and during the absence of the secre-
tary, the duties of secretary to said Commission, and the Com-
mission may from time to time, in a properly recorded minute
of its proceedings, designate one or more of its clerks to admin-
ister oaths in any part of the State pursuant to the perform-
ance of duties assigned to any clerk by said Commission.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1924.
