United States, '' be and the same are hereby extended and con-
tinued, and the Governor is hereby authorized and directed to
appoint three commissioners hereunder as authorized by said
Act. in place of the commissioners heretofore appointed by him
under the Act of 1908, Chapter 407; the Act of 1912, Chapter
593; the Act of 1916, Chapter 543; and by the Act of 1920,
Chapter 287, and to fill vacancies and re-appoint from time to
time as may in his judgment be necessary to carry out the pur-
pose of said Act and this extension thereof, and the duties of
the said commissioners shall be as set forth in said original act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said commissioners shall
hold office for the term of three years and until their successors
shall have been duly appointed and qualified. No member of
said board shall receive any compensation for his services as
commissioner, but each commissioner shall be entitled to re-
ceive his actual disbursements for his expenses in performing
the duties of his office. In case any of the persons appointed as
above will not undertake the office of this commission, or in case
of a vacancy on said board, such vacancy shall be filled by the
Governor.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said board may employ such
persons and incur such expenses as may be necessary in the
performance of their duties; but the total annual expense of
said board shall not exceed such sum as may be appropriated
therefor.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That said board may, out of its
annual appropriation, contribute to the expense of the confer-
ence of the commissioners from the various States such sum as
they may think proper, not exceeding; two hundred and fifty
dollars a year.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That said Board shall report
to the Legislature at its next session, and from that time there-
after as said Board may deem proper, an account of its trans-
actions and its advice and recommendations as required by Sec-
tion 1 of the Act of 1896, Chapter 264.
