Oakmont, Palmer's subdivision, and such other land subdivided
or not subdivided as comes within the above defined area.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Governmental
functions of said town shall be vested in a Mayor and five
Councilmen, who shall serve without compensation as such, and
each of whom shall have attained the age of twenty-five years
on the day of election, and shall have resided within the cor-
porate limits of said town not less than two years prior to
election, and each of whom shall be assessed on the tax books of
Prince George's County for at least Five Hundred Dollars
worth of property within the corporate limits of said town of
Seat Pleasant.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all citizens of Seat
Pleasant having the qualifications prescribed for voters by the
laws of the State of Maryland, who shall have have resided
within the corporate limits of said town for at least one year
prior to any election, shall be qualified to vote for all elective
officers of said town, or at any town election, and the judges
of election hereinafter provided for shall be the sole judges of
the right of any person to vote at any town election.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the election for all
elective town officers shall be held on the first Monday in May
at a place or places to be designated by the Mayor and Common
Council, and notices of such places must be posted in three
public places at least ten days before said election. Such poll-
ing places shall remain open from 1 o'clock P. M. to 7 o'clock
P. M., or longer at the discretion of the Mayor and Common
Council. Such election shall be conducted by three judges and
two clerks to be appointed by the Mayor and Common Council
annually, and they shall each take the oath prescribed herein
for town officers.

The said election judges and clerks shall be known as the
Board of Election Supervisors, shall serve without pay as such

and shall meet on the first Monday of April of each year from
7. 30 to 10 o'clock P. M. for the purpose of receiving certificates
for nominations for Mayor and Councilmen, which said nomina-
tions shall be in writing, signed by not less than twenty quali-
fied voters of said town, and no signature shall be counted if it
be upon more than one nomination paper of a candidate for
Mayor, or upon more than five nomination papers of candi-
dates for Councilmen. No certificates of nomination shall be
received by the said Board of Election Supervisors after the
