istrate may in civil cases and in all other matters incident to
the office of justice of the peace, charge and retain for his own
use such fees for his services as may be allowed by law. The
County Commissioners of Baltimore County are hereby author-
ized to fix the hours during which the committing magistrates
above designated shall sit at the various places designated for
the performance of the duties of their offices, said hours so to
be designated, however, shall not prevent said magistrates
from sitting at other times, in addition to said designated
hours, as necessity or convenience may require.

CHAPTER 249.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Association of the
Maryland Line to surrender and transfer to the Board of
Education of Baltimore County for public school purposes
and such future disposition as the said Board of Education
might deem wise and expedient, such portion, if any, of the
land or buildings of the property formerly known as the
Pikesville Arsenal, and now known as the Confederated
Soldiers' Home, as said Association of the Maryland Line
may be willing to so transfer and to authorize and direct the
Board of Public Works of the State of Maryland for and
on behalf of said State, to unite in any deed or other in-
strument necessary to effect such transfer as may be so
agreed by said Association, and such land or buildings as
might be conveyed to be in addition to and exclusive of
that, portion of said Confederated Soldiers' Home property
as was conveyed for public school purposes in Baltimore
County under the provisions of Chapter 359 of the Acts of
the Genera] Assembly of Maryland passed at its session in
1912.

CHAPTER 250.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Chapter
233 of the Acts of 1922, incorporating the Imperial Life
Insurance Company of Baltimore, correcting errors in said
Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
