of years he was serving Baltimore County with such un-
swerving loyalty and integrity; and
WHEREAS, The said James E. Kleeman is now entirely phy-
sically incapacitated from performing any kind of work what-
ever and thereby prevented from earning any income what-
ever; and
WHEREAS, The said James E. Kleeman is without income
and practically destitute, and liable at any time to become a
public charge upon the same county which he served for so
many years so faithfully, conscientiously and meritoriously;
and
WHEREAS, Baltimore County owes a moral obligation to one
of its servants for his untiring zeal in its behalf during the
years of his stewardship; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the County Commissioners of Baltimore County be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to pay to James E. Klee-
man, a former police officer of said county, for a period of
eighteen years, out of the funds in their possession or subject
to their control, a monthly pension of fifty dollars ($50. 00)
payable to the said James E. Kleeman on the last day of each
month during his lifetime.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June. 1924.

CHAPTER 34.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of Mill-
ington, Kent County, Maryland, to borrow money on the
credit of the Town of Millington, Kent County, Maryland,
for the purpose of erecting a building for its fire equipment
and other municipal purposes, and to issue bonds for the
payment of same and to levy on the assessable property of
said town to redeem said bonds and pay the interest on
same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Commissioners of Millington be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to issue bonds in the name
