diate preservation of the public safety, and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 163.

AN ACT to add a new section to Chapter 185 of the Acts of
1912 of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled "An
Act to amend Chapter 14 of the Acts of 1872 of the General
Assembly of Maryland, entitled 'An Act to change the name
of the Children's Aid Society of Baltimore to the name of
the Henry Watson Children's Aid Society of Baltimore, and
otherwise to amend the Constitution of said Society, ' by add-
ing four additional sections thereto to be known as Sections
7, 8, 9 and 10, said additional sections conferring addi-
tional powers upon said corporation"; said new section to
be known as Section 11, and to follow immediately after
Section 10 of said Chapter 185 of the Acts of 1912, the
purpose of said new section being to confer further powers
upon said corporation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Chapter
185 of the Acts of 1912 of the General Assembly of Maryland,
entitled "An Act to amend Chapter 14 of the Acts of 1872 of
the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled 'An Act to change
the name of the Children's Aid Society of Baltimore to the
name of the Henry Watson Children's Aid Society of Balti-
more and otherwise to amend the Constitution of said Society, '
by adding four additional sections thereto to be known as
Sections 7, 8, 9 and 10, said additional sections; conferring
additional powers upon said corporation, " said new section to
be known as Section 11, and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 10 of said Chapter 185 of the Acts of 1912, to read as
follows:

Section 11. The said Society is hereby authorized to act
under the order or appointment of any Court of record as
guardian, receiver or trustee of the estate of any minor; and in
the case of any such order or appointment the Court having
jurisdiction may require the said Society to give such bond or
other security, and to render such accounts as such Court might
lawfully require if such guardian, receiver or trustee were a
natural person.
