WHEREAS, The business of the Circuit Courts of said Coun-
ties, constituting the Fourth Judicial Circuit, has greatly in-
creased and is constantly increasing by reason of the rapid
growth of the population and wealth of said Counties, and
the amount paid to said judges by the State is deemed to be
inadequate for their services, and the increase herein provided
for can be paid by a levy of a tax of less than three mills on
$100 of assessable property;
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Allegany, Washing-
ton and Garrett Counties be and they are hereby respectively
authorized and directed to pay each of the two Associate Judges
of the Circuit Courts of said counties, $825. 00, $750. 00 and
$175. 00 respectively annually from and after June 1, 1924,
in equal monthly instalments, and the said County Commis-
sioners respectively are hereby authorized and directed to levy
upon the assessable property of the said counties for court
purposes a tax sufficient to pay said amounts.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on and after the first day of June, 1924.

CHAPTER 154.
AN ACT to incorporate the Town of Edmonston, in Prince
George's County, Maryland, and to provide for the submis-
sion of this question to the qualified voters of said town for
their adoption or rejection.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the citizens of the Town of Edmonston are a body
corporate, by the name of the Mayor and Town Council of
Edmonston, and by that name may have perpetual succession,
sue and be sued, have and use a common seal, and may pur-
chase and hold real estate, or dispose of the same for the
benefit of said town.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the boundaries of
the said town shall be as follows: Beginning where the Shep-
ard Branch of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad intersects the
Eastern Branch of the Potomac River, said point being in
the corporation line of the Town of Hyattsville, then running
with the Hyattsville Corporation boundary line northerly to
