to which he is opposed, and if there be a majority of votes
cast in favor of the said amendments then the same shall
become a component part of the Charter of said town and effec-
tive immediately; and if a majority of the votes shall be east
against said amendments then the same shall a second time
be submitted to the qualified voters of the town of Midland at
the next succeeding municipal election in said town in the same
manner as hereinbefore provided. If at said election the
majority of the votes shall be cast in favor of said amendments
then the same shall become a part of said Charter as herein-
before provided and if at said second election there shall be
a majority of votes cast against the said amendments then this
act shall be void.

CHAPTER 145.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (Revised Edition of 1915), title
"City of Baltimore, " sub-title "Police Commissioners, " sub-
head "Special Fund, " said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 777-F and to follow immediately after Section 777-E
of said Article, providing that members of the Police Force
of Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties who upon the
going into effect of Chapter 82 of the Acts of 1918 became
members of the Police Force of Baltimore City shall, for the
purpose of participating in the Special Fund, be entitled
upon the fulfillment of certain conditions, to credit for the
time served as members of the Police Force of the said coun-
ties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (Re-
vised Edition of 1915), title "City of Baltimore, " sub-title
"Police Commissioners, " sub-head "Special Fund, " said new
section to be known as Section 777-F, to follow immediately
after Section 777-E of said Article, and to read as follows:
777-F. Any officer of police, policeman, detective, clerk or
turnkey formerly employed as such or in a similar capacity
by the County of Baltimore or the County of Anne Arundel,
as the case may be, and who, upon the going into effect of the
Act of 1918, Chapter 82, of the General Assembly, commonly
