amount required to defray said salary shall be levied upon the
assessable property in the Third Precinct of the Fifth District
of Anne Arundel County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June first, nineteen hundred and twenty-four.

CHAPTER 106.
AN ACT to provide for a public school building in or near the
corporate limits of the Town of Denton in Caroline County,
Maryland, and for the erecting, equipping and furnishing
of such public school building thereon, including heating ap-
paratus therefor; and authorizing, empowering and direct-
ing the County Commissioners of Caroline, County, upon the
written demand of the building Committee provided for in
this Act, to issue coupon bonds to the extent of One Hun-
dred Thousand Dollars on the faith and credit of said
County, to be applied to the cost of the erecting, equipping
and furnishing of said school building, and to levy a tax
on the assessable property of the said County to pay inter-
est thereon and to re-pay the money borrowed: and provid-
ing for the sale of a part of the present school property for
the furnishing of additional funds therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Frederick B. Nuttle, John T. Carter, Ernest G.
Cooper, Dr. Frederick N. Nichols, Benjamin H. Johnson, J. Ro-
land Chaffinch and J. Owen Knotts, all of Caroline County, Mary-
land, be and they are hereby appointed a Committee to be
styled ''The Building Committee of the Denton Public School",
to serve without pay, for the purpose of erecting a public school
building on a suitable site within or near the corporate limits of
the town of Denton, Maryland, said site to be selected by said
building committee and approved by the State Superintendent
of schools, as provided in Section 20 of Article 77 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland, said site to be furnished without
cost to Caroline County and to be conveyed as a building site
to the County Board of Education of said county, as provided
in Section 24 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
said Building Committee to construct thereon said school build-
ing of brick, or other durable material to be selected by the
Building Committee, and to equip and furnish said building
