the Mayor and Council of Crisfield at not less than the par
value thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 102.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County to levy six hundred ($600. 00)
dollars annually for the town of Upper Marlboro.
WHEREAS, The Court House, jail and other county buildings
located in the town of Upper Marlboro are given police and
fire protection by the citizens of said town; and
WHEREAS, The said town is the county seat and is used by
all the residents of the county; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
levy six hundred ($600. 00) dollars annually for the town of
Upper Marlboro and to pay the same to the Town Commis-
sioners of said town; the said funds to be expended in such
manner and for such purposes as the commissioners of said
town, in their discretion, deem expedient.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public safety, and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all of the mem-
bers elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 103.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Council of
the Town of Takoma Park, Maryland, in Montgomery and
Prince George's Counties, for the purpose of promoting the
health, safety, morals or, the general welfare of the com-
munity; to provide for the establishment of districts or
zones within the corporate limits of the municipality within
which may be regulated and restricted by ordinance, the
