of the same; thereafter the treasurer shall proceed as required
by the terms of Section 478. If personal property is levied
on, actual possession shall be taken thereof, and it shall be
sold at some convenient and public place within the county
after ten days' notice by hand bills set up in five public places
in the precinct in which the property is seized; the treasurer
shall receive in addition to the cost of advertisement the fol-
lowing fees under this section: Levy, $2. 00; setting up no-
tices, $1. 00; crying sales, $1. 00; reporting same, $1. 00; and
five per cent, commission on proceeds of sale.

CHAPTER 10.

AN ACT to add a new section to Chapter 30 of the Acts of
1916, to be known as Section 6B, in order to authorize the
dispensing of wines in administering the Holy Sacraments,
or like religious rites, in the various churches of Washing-
ton County; and also the dispensing of intoxicating liquor,
by registered druggists, or pharmacists in Washington
County, for medicinal, pharmaceutical, scientific, sacra-
mental or mechanical purposes, under the license and au-
thority of the United States Government.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section, to be known as Section 6B, be added
to Chapter 30 of the Acts of 1916, to read as follows:

Section 6B. That for the purpose of carrying out the pro-
visions of the said Act of 1916, Chapter 30, Section 5, nothing
in the aforesaid Act of 1916 shall be held to prohibit the dis-
pensing of wines in administering the Holy Sacraments, or
like religious rites, in the various churches of Washington
County, or be construed to apply to any registered druggist
or pharmacist holding a permit from the United States Gov-
ernment to dispense intoxicating liquor on a prescription of
a regularly practicing physician, for non-beverage purposes,
or for pharmaceutical, scientific, sacramental or mechanical
purposes under the license and authority of the United States
Government; and any and all duly registered druggists or
pharmacists holding such permits, engaged in such business,
or who shall hereafter engage in the drug business in Wash-
ington County as aforesaid, shall be and they are hereby au-
