tion be in favor of said proposition, and the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Salisbury shall then levy a tax sufficient to support or
employ such band, not to exceed five cents on each one hun-
dred dollars of the assessed valuation of said city.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That a like petition
may at any time be presented to the Mayor and Council of
Salisbury, asking that the following; proposition be submitted,
to wit: "Shall the power to levy a tax for the maintenance or
employment of a band be cancelled?"; that said submission
shall be made at the next following general municipal election
or at a special election to be called by the Mayor and Council
for the said purpose upon the same notice and subject to the
same laws as the general election held by said municipality,
and if the majority of the votes cast be in favor of said ques-
tion, no further levy for said purposes shall be made by the
Mayor and Council of Salisbury.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That all funds derived
from said levy shall be expended by the Mayor and Council of
Salisbury only for the purposes set forth in the first section of
this Act
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the preserva-
tion of the public health and safety, and being passed upon a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect on the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 96.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County, " said new section to be under a new sub-title en-
titled "Cemeteries, " to be known as Section 80A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 80 of said Article, making it
a misdemeanor to establish a cemetery or graveyard in the
seventeenth (17) election district of Prince George's Coun-
ty without the written permission of the County Commis-
sioners and prescribing certain penalties for committing the
same, and giving the County Commissioners certain powers
where the same is about to be or has been committed.
