more copies of the form of the ballot provided for each voting
place at each election therein, or type of the same size, which
shall be called "Specimen Ballots, " and the same shall be fur-
nished with the other ballots prepared for each voting place.
On the morning of said election the said Supervisors of Elec-
tions shall cause to be conspicuously posted in each polling
place said cards of instruction and specimen ballots, and one
of said cards of instruction shall be fixed in each booth or
voting compartment, and the said specimen ballots shall be con-
spicuously displayed in said polling-room and on the out-side
of the building wherein said voting shall take place. Not less
than three of said cards and three of said specimen ballots shall
be posted outside of the guard-rails, and not less than three of
each of same shall be securely and conspicuously posted on the
outside of the building in which the polls are held, before the
balloting begins, in such position that the same may be easily
examined by the public. This section shall apply to Baltimore
City, Baltimore. Frederick, Garrett, Wicomico, Carroll, Wash-
ington, Allegany, Cecil, Montgomery, Howard, Harford and
Caroline Counties.

CHAPTER 581.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 51,
54, 55, 57, 58, 60 and 61 of Article 33 of Bagby's Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, title "Elections, " so as to change
the law with respect to the arrangement of the ballot by
eliminating blank spaces thereon, and providing for the plac-
ing of constitutional amendments or other questions to be
submitted, at the bottom of the ballot instead of in a separate
column on the right-hand side of the ballot; and eliminating
the requirement, that the designation of the polling place be
printed on the ballot used in each precinct, and that sample
copies be printed in type of considerably magnified dimen-
sions and providing that sample copies be printed in type
of the same size as that used in printing the official ballot;
and reducing the number of ballots required to be printed,
providing for the printing1 of surplus ballots, the custody
and distribution of such ballots, and for other purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 51, 54, 55, 57, 58, 60 and 61 of Article
33 of Bagby's Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Elections, "
