of the aforegoing sections, in so far as the same applies to
Dorchester County only, are hereby repealed, and the said
aforegoing sections are hereby substituted,, in place thereof,
but that all other provisions of the General Election Laws of
this State as now in force, excepting such as are changed here-
by, shall continue in full force and effect in Dorchester County,
Maryland.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall go
in effect the first day of June, 1924.

CHAPTER 539.

AN ACT to create a Metropolitan District in Baltimore County
contiguous to Baltimore City; to provide for the construc-
tion, maintenance, operation, purchase or condemnation of
water supply, sewerage, and stormwater drainage systems;
to provide for the issuance of bonds for the purpose of such
construction, and the levy of taxes, assessments and benefits,
water and sewer charges and rates for the payment of said
bonds; and the operation, maintenance, regulation and con-
trol of said systems and granting certain powers and impos-
ing duties on the City of Baltimore in connection therewith;
and granting certain powers to Anne Arundel County in
connection therewith; and granting certain powers and im-
posing certain duties on the Public Service Commission of
Maryland in connection therewith; to provide that the
County Commissioners of Baltimore County shall sit on
Monday of each week, and on such other days as may be
necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act, to provide
compensation to them for the performance of the duties
imposed by this Act. and for other purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That all that part of Baltimore County described as
follows: Beginning in the Patapsco River at the point where
the boundary line between Baltimore County and Anne Arun-
del County is intersected by the easternmost boundary of Bal-
timore City by a line drawn due south, in continuation of the
eastern boundary of Baltimore City; thence in a southeasterly
direction along said boundary line between Baltimore County
and Anne Arundel County to the point of intersection between
the boundary lines of Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County
