SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1924.

CHAPTER 514.

AN ACT to provide for killing by certain persons of foxes,
except when pursued by hounds followed by hunters, in
Carroll County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That any landowner or tenant of land may kill any fox
on land which he owns or is tenant of as the case may be in
Carroll County, except when said fox is pursued by hounds
followed by hunters.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlaw-
ful to kill any fox when pursued by hounds followed by hunt-
ers in said county.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That any person who
may kill any fox while pursued by hounds, when followed by
hunters, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall upon
conviction before a Justice of the Peace be fined ten dollars,
subject, however, to the right of appeal.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and parts
of Acts inconsistent herewith be and they are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take

effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 515.

AN ACT to Authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to issue certificates of indebtedness of said corporation
to an amount not exceeding two million dollars ($2, 000, -
000. 00) for the purpose of acquiring the necessary land by
purchase, condemnation or otherwise and the constructing
thereon or the purchase of the building or buildings which
may be required properly to house the employees and activi-
ties of the municipal government; and to authorize the sub-
mission of an ordinance for that purpose to the legal voters
