1150 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 472

ticket or instrument aforesaid to a person not lawfully entitled
thereto, and any person not lawfully entitled thereto who shall
receive, with intent to use for passage, or who shall use or offer
for passage any such transfer ticket or instrument, or shall sell
or give away such transfer ticket or instrument to another
with intent to have such transfer ticket used or offered for
passage, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, on conviction
thereof, shall be punished by a fine not less than $10.00 or
more than one hundred dollars for the first offense, and for
each subsequent offense by a fine of not less than $100.00. or
by imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or both,
in the discretion of the court.

CHAPTER 471.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 38
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Li-
censes, " sub-title "Traders, " exempting persons selling in
municipal markets from the payment of traders' license.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 472.

AN ACT to empower the Burgess and Commissioners of Mid-
dletown, in Frederick County, Maryland, to issue bonds for
the purpose of paying for, increasing the efficiency of, mak-
ing improvements to, and enlarging the water works of said
town.

WHEREAS, By an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at the January Session of 1902, being Chapter 73 of
the Acts of said Session, the Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown were authorized and empowered to issue bonds
in the name of said municipal corporation to an amount not
exceeding ten thousand dollars, and redeemable at the pleasure
of said corporation after twenty years from said date; and

WHEREAS, By said Act an additional amount of bonds to
the amount of three thousand dollars were authorized by said
municipal corporation, redeemable at the pleasure of said
municipal corporation after the expiration of ten years from
April 1st, 1905; and
