SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Chapter 333 of the Act of 1868, en-
titled "An Act to incorporate the Savings Institution of Sandy
Spring, Maryland, " as said section was amended by Chapter
17 of the Act of 1820, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments and that the new section be and it
is hereby added to said Chapter, said new section to be known
as Section 2A, to follow immediately after Section 2, and all
to read as follows:
2. Asa M. Stabler, Benjamin H. Miller, Alban G. Thomas,
Roger B. Farquhar, Charles F. Brooke, Josiah W. Jones,
George Earle Cooke, Newton Stabler, William Everett Brown,
Thomas Cranmer Griffith, William John Thomas, Frederick L.
Thomas, Tarlton Brooke, A. Douglas Farquhar, shall be direc-
tors of said Corporation. And said directors shall have the
power at their option to elect one other person who shall there-
after, likewise be a director of the said Savings Institution.
All vacancies that may occur by death, resignation or other-
wise, as may be provided by the by-laws of the said corporation,
shall be filled by the Board of Directors by ballot, not later than
six months after such vacancy shall have occurred, and notice in
writing of such proposed election shall be given to each sur-
viving director at least fifteen days before such meeting.
2A. A majority of the directors of the Savings Institution
of Sandy Spring, Maryland, incorporated by the name of the
"Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Maryland, " be and they
are constituted a quorum for the transaction of business.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 269 of
the Act of 1874 entitled "An Act to amend an Act passed at
January Session, 1868, Chapter 333, entitled 'An Act to In-
corporate the Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Mary-
land, ' " be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 464.
AN ACT to repeal Section 172 of Staton's Code of Public
Local Laws of. Worcester County, title ''Ocean City, " and
re-enact the same with amendments.
