County Commissioners of Somerset County for the purpose of
enabling the State Road Commission of Maryland to use the
proceeds thereof for the further construction and permanent
improvement of the highway leading from Princess Anne to
Deals Island, as provided by Chapter —— of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, Session 1924. "

Immediately after this shall be printed on separate lines, with
a square or box to the right and opposite the words "For Deals
Island Road Improvement Bonds, '' and a corresponding square
to the right and opposite the words ''Against Deals Island Road,
Improvement Bonds, '' all to be printed on said ballots, so as to
give the voter a clear opportunity to designate by a cross mark
(X) in the proper square or box, his or her decision for or
against said Deals Island Road Improvement Bonds.

The Judges or Clerks of said election shall count the vote on
said question of the issue of said bonds, and make return thereof
to the Supervisors of Election of said Somerset County in like
manner as the vote for candidates at said regular election is
required to be counted and returned, under the General Election
Laws of Maryland, and the Supervisors of Election for said
Somerset County shall canvass the return of said vote on said
question, and certify the result thereof in the same manner as
the vote for candidates at said regular election is required to
be canvassed and certified, and the said Supervisors of Election
shall also certify the number of votes cast for said "Deals Island
Road Improvement Bonds" and against said "Deals Island
Road Improvement Bonds'' respectively both to the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Somerset County and to the Clerk of the
County Commissioners of said Somerset County, and if a majority
of the votes cast at said election, as shown by said certificates of
said Supervisors of Election, shall be for said Deals Island Road
Improvement Bonds, the County Commissioners shall issue said
bonds as hereinbefore provided, but if a majority of votes be
east against said Deals Island Road Improvement Bonds, then
this Act shall have no effect, and bonds shall not be issued
thereunder.

SEC. 7 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.
