the roosting or feeding grounds or waters of water-rail or
ortolan or reed-birds, rail-birds or rice-birds. Any person vio-
lating the provisions of this paragraph shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of
not less than ten ($10. 00) dollars nor more than fifty ($50. 00)
dollars for each offense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 434.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 166 of the Acts of 1860, entitled
"An Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road
from the west end of Uniontown, in Carroll County, to the
completed terminus of the Westminster and Hagerstown
turnpike road. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 166 of the Acts of I860, entitled "An Act
to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from the
west end of Uniontown, in Carroll County, to the completed
terminus of the Westminster and Hagerstown turnpike road, "
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 435.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 80
of Article 75 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
''Pleadings, Practice and Process of Law, " sub-title "Eject-
ment, " providing that the duties heretofore performed by
the Sheriff in official surveys shall hereafter be performed
by the Surveyor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 80 of Article 75 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title "Pleadings, Practice and Process of Law, "
