CHAPTER 403.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Caroline County to have the Public Local Laws of Mary-
land relating to Caroline County, codified and printed and to
provide for the payment of the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Caroline County be,
and they are hereby authorized and empowered, at their discre-
tion, to have the Public Local Laws of Maryland, relating to
Caroline County, codified and printed and to provide for the
expense of the said work in any subsequent annual levy.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That two competent per-
sons, who are active practitioners and members of the Caroline
Bar, shall be employed for said work and after the names of
said two persons shall have been recommended to the said Coun-
ty Commissioners by the Circuit Court for Caroline County as
competent persons to do said work.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County Commis-
sioners shall advertise for bids for printing said codified Public
Local Laws in the same manner as with other public County
work and shall only award said printing to the lowest responsi-
ble bidder and shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 404.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of Ellicott
City to purchase the water supply system of the Ellicott City
Water Company; to provide for the operation, extention, al-
teration, maintenance and control thereof; to provide for
the issuance of bonds for the purpose of making such pur-
chase, operation, extention and alterations; to provide for the
levy of taxes and the establishment of charges and rates for
the payment of the interest on such bonds, and the redemp-
tion of said bonds, as they mature, and for the operation,
maintenance, regulation and control of said water supply
system; to provide for the purchase and condemnation of
property and rights necessary for the operation, extention,
